Advent III: Invitation To The Dance Of Hope – Return To Joy

I’m grateful to share this meditation for the third week of Advent. I focus on the next move in the “Dance of Hope” which is Returning to Joy.

“Joy is based on the spiritual knowledge that, while the world in which we live is shrouded in darkness, God has overcome the world. Jesus says it loudly and clearly: “In the world you will have troubles, but rejoice, I have overcome the world.” Henri Nouwen.

With you on the Journey,

  1. Hi Father Rob, oh had I needed your message today of Joy in my life. Dealing with my husband’s Alzheimer disease has been a challenge but the Lord has given me patience which I am so blessed. Now I can pray for more Joy which I know the Lord will graciously give me and hopefully my husband also.
    Love you, Mary

    1. So grateful for your words and my prayers for the challenging time for you. Yes you can always return to Joy.

      Love to you,

  2. Thanks Fr Rob, Isn’t it an amazing blessing when we realize we are loved by God? A thresh hold is crossed. I do think and pray for all of those who have not experienced love. Perhaps not loved as a child. Far more difficult to believe in God without earthly experience.
